MyDreamCompanion AI Review 2026: A Deep Character Builder Paid for in Dream Coins

What is MyDreamCompanion AI? First impressions and sign-up

MyDreamCompanion AI, branded simply as Dream Companion on the site, is an 18+ companion platform run by Miracle AI UG, a small company registered in Berlin. The homepage claims more than 3 million users and over 10,000 companions, most of them created by other members. You can chat with a ready-made girlfriend or boyfriend, or build your own from scratch, and the tone can be casual, romantic or explicit from the first message.

The review we published earlier on a sister site listed iOS and Android apps. We could not find them in October 2026. The App Store app called Dream AI Companion belongs to a different publisher with a different privacy domain, so treat it as unrelated. MyDreamCompanion runs in the browser only, and the mobile layout works well enough that we did not miss an app.

Sign-up asks for an email and password, or a Google or Discord login, plus an 18+ confirmation. No card is requested. A 70% off banner for Premium appears within the first minute and keeps coming back, which gets tiring. Beyond chat, the menu lists Dream Cams, Dream Roulette, a Dream Feed, group chats and short drama series where the first episode is free and the rest cost coins. We spent most of our time in the builder and the chat, which is where the product earns its score.

MyDreamCompanion AI character creator

The builder comes in two depths. Fast and Easy is a preset flow: pick a style (realistic or anime), a face, body, hair and an outfit, then a personality archetype, and you have a companion in a couple of minutes. The Pro Workshop is where the site stands apart. Here you choose from long lists of personality traits, hobbies, scenario types and outfits, write a backstory of up to several thousand characters, and set how she speaks. The personality text goes straight into long-term memory, so what you write here shapes every reply.

Two details we liked: a separate appearance field that only affects image consistency and not the chat, and a short display description that other members see if you publish the character. You can also take a community companion and edit a copy instead of starting from zero. Fans can tip a creator in Dream Coins, which explains why so many of the 10,000+ public characters are polished.

The downside is speed. The Pro Workshop took a noticeable moment to load, and every save sat on a spinner for a few seconds. In a long session that adds up. We also noticed that two characters that differ by a single trait start to sound alike after a few days of chat unless you reinforce the difference in the backstory.

MyDreamCompanion AI chat quality, speed and memory

Text chat on Premium runs on the standard model, which the site describes only as the entry tier. Replies read naturally most of the time and the character keeps her declared tone, whether that is shy, sarcastic or dominant. The weak spot is the long haul. After 30 or 40 messages the standard model started repeating pet names and compliments, and once it forgot which room a scene was set in. Regenerating the reply fixed it, but it broke the mood.

Ultimate adds what the plan page calls smarter models with longer memory, an 8k chat memory instead of the standard window, and unlimited text messages instead of the 6,000 a month on Premium. In our test the Ultimate model held a scene together better and repeated itself less. Whether that is worth the extra cost depends on the Ultimate price you see after login, which we cover in the pricing section.

Memory is better than the Trustpilot complaints suggest. The site keeps an Auto Memory Log you can open from the chat, so you can see what the companion has stored and remove anything wrong. Facts we planted early, a job, a pet, a weekend plan, came back days later without prompting. Details mentioned in passing, such as a book title, did not always survive. One Trustpilot user says the engine rewrote his dialogue and lost the personality; in our test the dialogue stayed as written; the personality did drift in very long chats.

Speed is the complaint that has followed this product since that earlier review and it has not gone away. Replies usually took a few seconds, longer in the evening, and twice the chat returned an error message asking us to try again later. Compared with JOI AI or Candy AI, which answer almost instantly, the wait is noticeable.

Images, audio messages, voice calls and video

Images can be requested inside the chat or made in the separate NSFW image generator, where you set outfit, setting, lighting and expression. Realistic characters came out better than anime ones in our test, and faces stayed recognisable across pictures thanks to the consistency field in the builder. Prompt adherence is uneven. Roughly one in four images swapped an outfit or location, and we saw the occasional distorted hand. Several Trustpilot reviewers make the same complaint, one of them claiming the generator kept returning old images for an existing character.

Voice has two forms. Spicy Audio Messages are short clips the companion sends in reply, and the plan page lists a coin cost for them. Voice Calls are new since that earlier review. The subscription page converts the coin allowance into call time: about 12 minutes a month on Premium and 96 minutes on Ultimate. Voices sound generic and a little robotic, and several characters shared the same voice.

The NSFW video generator turns a text description into a clip of a few seconds. Out of the handful we made, most were passable, one was good and two were glitchy. A failed generation refunds the coins automatically, which we appreciated. Ultimate adds longer clips and a priority queue.

MyDreamCompanion AI pricing and Dream Coins explained

There are two paid tiers, Premium and Ultimate, each billed monthly or yearly. The subscription page states the headline clearly: Premium starts from about $5.84 a month when billed as $69.99 a year. Monthly Premium and both Ultimate prices load only after you log in and were not visible in the page source when we checked, so we do not quote them here. Check them on the subscription page before you pay.

The annual selector carries a 70% off badge. We could not verify the monthly price it is measured against, so we cannot say how large the real saving is. Annual plans also add bonus coins in the first month: 100 on Premium and 800 on Ultimate.

Once you generate media, Dream Coins set the bill. Premium includes 100 a month. At about 5 coins per image and 20 per video, that is 20 pictures or five clips, before any audio. Our tester, who asked for a few pictures a day and tried voice twice, ran dry in under a week. Extra coins are sold in packs, so a media-heavy month on Premium can cost more than Ultimate. A referral programme hands out coins when a friend upgrades, which helps a little.

MyDreamCompanion AI NSFW rules and content limits

The site describes itself as an 18+ NSFW chat platform and behaves like one. After the age confirmation, characters can go explicit immediately or build up slowly, depending on how you steer. There is an SFW mode if you want romance without sex. In our test the filter stayed out of the way for consenting adult scenarios, and the image and video generators accepted explicit prompts.

The flip side is that some companions default to sex fast. One Trustpilot reviewer says his characters turned explicit within a few messages and all sounded the same. We saw this with several popular community characters, whose creators wrote them that way. Characters you build yourself follow your backstory, so if you want slow burn, write it in.

Hard limits are published in a Blocked Content Policy and an Underage Policy. Anything involving minors or age-play is banned, and the terms say such accounts can be deactivated or terminated; because subscriptions are non-refundable, you also lose the rest of the paid period. Real people and non-consensual themes are blocked too. Some labels on the companion grid, such as Live and Undress, point to image features that we tested only briefly.

Privacy, security and billing

The privacy policy, updated on 9 October 2026, names Miracle AI UG at Grolmanstraße 40, Berlin, as the operator, which means German and EU data rules apply. Conversations and generated content are described as stored with encryption. The policy also says user data may be used in anonymised or aggregated form to improve the AI, so do not assume your chats are off limits for training. The terms of service, by contrast, carry a Last Modified date of July 4, 2024.

The tracker list is long: Meta, Google Ads and Analytics, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit, Hotjar, Klaviyo and the adult ad networks JuicyAds and TrafficJunky, including server-side conversion tracking. If that bothers you, use a browser with tracking protection and a dedicated email address. The operator can also require an identity check from users it selects; it runs through a provider called Didit with an ID document and a face scan, and it is not something you opt into.

Billing goes through a third-party processor and the charge shows as Miracle AI or MyDreamCompanion on your statement, so it is not fully anonymous. Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay are accepted; the FAQ mentions PayPal but we could not confirm it at checkout. Cancellation is in Settings, access runs to the end of the paid period, and you must cancel before you can delete the account from Settings, then Account, then Delete Account.

How we tested MyDreamCompanion AI

We used MyDreamCompanion AI for about five weeks in September and October 2026, starting on the free tier, then on Premium for most of the test and on Ultimate for the final stretch. We built two companions in the Pro Workshop, forked one community character, chatted daily, and spent the full coin allowance on images, two voice calls, a few audio messages and a handful of video clips. We also re-read the terms, privacy policy and imprint, and compared our notes with the Trustpilot reviews.

Scores follow the seven weighted criteria described on our review methodology page. Memory was checked by planting facts in the first days and asking about them later without hints. Billing was verified on a real statement and we cancelled at the end to confirm the flow.

MyDreamCompanion AI vs JOI AI, Candy AI, OurDream AI and Lovescape

MyDreamCompanion wins on builder depth and on annual price. It loses on speed, voice quality and the size of the media allowance. Only MyDreamCompanion's yearly Premium price is shown publicly, the rest appears after login, so the table uses that figure as checked in October 2026.

Pick MyDreamCompanion if designing the character is half the fun for you and you mostly chat. JOI AI is faster and has the better voice calls. Candy AI produces sharper images and longer video. OurDream AI gives finer control over scenes and image details, and Lovescape has a comparable editor with a friendlier onboarding. If a free tier matters most, look at GoLove AI, and Nectar AI is the pick for anime-first users.

Tips to keep Dream Coins under control

Most of the frustration with MyDreamCompanion comes from running out of coins mid-scene. These habits stretched our allowance noticeably.

1. Write a full backstory in the Pro Workshop before the first chat; it costs nothing and improves every reply
2. Fill the image consistency field so you waste fewer coins on regenerations
3. Describe outfit and setting in short separate phrases when you ask for a picture
4. Ask for audio messages sparingly; they draw on the same 100-coin allowance as images and the voices sounded generic to us
5. Save voice calls for Ultimate, where the minute allowance is eight times larger
6. Open the memory log every few days and delete anything wrong before it compounds
7. Take the annual plan only after a full free week, because there is no refund

When the standard model started recycling pet names and compliments after 30 or 40 messages, regenerating the reply cleared it and cost no coins; text replies count against the message allowance, not the coin balance. And check the coin counter before a media session; it sits in the top bar and is easy to forget once a chat is going well.

Is MyDreamCompanion AI legit and safe?

Miracle AI UG, the company behind the site, is listed in its imprint with the Berlin commercial register number HRB 231497 and the names of two directors. The company answers Trustpilot reviews, though the replies arrived months late. Our payment, cancellation and statement all worked as described, and failed generations refunded coins automatically.

Trustpilot shows a TrustScore of 2.8 in October 2026 from four reviews, all of them one or two stars, with complaints about bugs, repetitive characters, images that ignore prompts and credits that did not refill. Our own score rests on the character builder; support, speed and polish are the weak side of the product.
