Selira AI Review 2026: We Tested the Free Uncensored Chat, Credits and Live Cam

What is Selira AI and how does it work?

Selira AI calls itself an uncensored AI companion platform. It runs in the browser, is operated by Sria Digital B.V. in Utrecht, Netherlands, and bundles four things into one account: text chat with premade or custom companions, an image generator tied to each companion, five-second video clips made from those images, and a scrolling NSFW feed in the TikTok style. A Live Cam section marked as beta and group chats marked as new were added during 2026.

The flow is simple. You sign up with an email, confirm you are over 18, and land on a grid of companions filterable by gender, style (realistic or anime), ethnicity and age. Pick one and the chat opens with a short intro message. Roleplay scenarios such as medieval fantasy, sci-fi or an office setting are offered as starting points, although companionship and adult content are the core of the platform, and long campaign storytelling is an afterthought.

Earlier descriptions of Selira AI, including the review we published earlier on a sister site, framed it as a fantasy worldbuilding tool with six worlds and a character class system. The product we tested in October 2026 is nothing like that. Fantasy settings exist as roleplay prompts, but the core offer is explicit chat and media, and we have rewritten the whole review around what the site actually does today.

Selira AI chat quality and memory

Each reply is two to five sentences, a bit of speech and a bit of action, and it shows up one to three seconds after you hit send. The tone is warm and quick to flirt. Companions stay in the personality written on their card, and when we asked a shy librarian character to lead the scene she did so hesitantly, which is the kind of consistency we look for. Explicit scenes escalate as fast as you push them. If you prefer a slow build, you have to say so, because the default pacing is eager.

Long sessions show the limits. After forty or so exchanges on the same evening, our companion started recycling phrases of reassurance and the same two or three gestures. Regenerating a reply or changing the scene location resets it for a while.

Memory depends on your plan more than we expected. Free accounts keep chat history for three days only. Lite and Basic subscribers get what the pricing page calls basic memory, which in our test meant the companion knew what happened earlier in the current thread and a few profile facts. Long-term memory is reserved for Premium, Platinum and Diamond. On Basic, a companion still knew our tester’s job and city four days after we planted them, but had the order of two earlier scenes wrong by the end of that week. That is acceptable for casual use and not good enough for a running relationship story.

Companions and the custom companion builder

The library mixes realistic and anime companions, with filters for gender, ethnicity, style and age range. Each one is labelled as AI-generated and 18+. Quality varies: the featured companions have fuller backstories and better portraits, while deeper in the list some cards are a single paragraph long.

The custom builder is where the free plan shows its generosity. You can create two companions without paying, choosing style, body, face, hair, outfit, a personality description and the relationship you want. Paid plans remove the cap. There is no option to upload a reference photo, which is deliberate, since the terms ban content depicting real people. A tag-based system drives the look, and the portrait you get at the end becomes the anchor for later images.

Selira AI images, video, feed and Live Cam

Images cost one credit each and are generated either from a request inside the chat or from a dedicated panel with pose, outfit and background options. The generator’s selling point is face consistency, and it delivers: across roughly a hundred images of the same companion, the face drifted noticeably in only a handful. Hands and background text are the usual weak spots. Both realistic and anime output look competitive with mid-priced rivals, though Candy AI still produces sharper skin detail.

Video turns an existing image into a clip of about five seconds and costs around ten credits on most plans. Motion is subtle, a smile or a turn of the head, and at busy times the queue took several minutes. One in six renders failed in our test, and failed renders refunded the credits. The NSFW feed is an endless scroll of community-style clips and images; free users hit a scroll limit, paid users do not.

Live Cam is labelled beta and promises a real-time show from a companion. In our sessions it behaved like a stream of short generated clips strung together with chat. For now it is a novelty, and no reason on its own to subscribe. There is no voice anywhere on the platform: no voice messages, no calls, no text-to-speech. For a product in this category in 2026, that is a notable gap.

Selira AI pricing and S credits explained

Chat is free with no cap, so what you pay for is media allowance and memory. Selira sells five monthly subscriptions and six one-time credit packs. At the time of writing the pricing page showed sale prices with a countdown timer: Lite $7.99 (75 credits), Basic $12.99 (200), Premium $19.99 (500), Platinum $39.99 (1,000) and Diamond $59.00 (2,000). The crossed-out regular prices run from $8.99 to $133.30, and the homepage quoted slightly different plan details than the pricing page, so treat every figure as a snapshot.

Credits are one currency for both formats: one credit per image, roughly ten per video. Subscriptions refill monthly. Credit packs start at $7.99 for 50 credits and go up to $99.99 for 1,500, and the page states that pack credits never expire. Packs include images, video and unlimited companion creation but do not list long-term memory or Live Cam, so they suit people who mainly want pictures.

Three-month and twelve-month toggles advertise 50% and 70% off, although the plan cards still said billed monthly when we checked. When you try to leave, the site offers a 90% discount to stay. Selira also states that cancelling permanently deletes your generated images and videos, chat history, memories and created companions. Download anything you want to keep before you cancel.

Selira AI NSFW rules and content limits

Selira AI is explicit by default. Every companion is adult, uncensored chat is on from the first message, and NSFW images, video and an undress feature are available to free users within their credit limits. We never hit a refusal during consensual adult roleplay, which puts the platform among the least restrictive we have tested this year.

The hard limits are written down in the terms, last updated October 14, 2026. Anything involving minors in a sexual context, non-consent, real people without consent, bestiality, incest with real relatives and a short list of other categories is blocked at the model level and by a term filter. The published AI moderation policy describes three layers: rule-based blocking, AI screening of messages and filtering at the API level. Violations escalate from warning to restriction, and the minors category leads to an immediate permanent ban.

In some jurisdictions Selira now asks for age verification before NSFW features are switched on. A third-party provider called Didit runs a selfie-based age estimate, with an ID document as fallback, and Selira says it receives only a pass, fail or review result. We were not asked to verify from our test location, but users in regions with age-verification laws should expect the step.

Privacy, data handling and billing discretion

The privacy policy names Sria Digital B.V. as the controller and is written for GDPR. Selira states that it does not use chats or personal data to train AI models, that third-party AI providers processing your messages do not train on them either, and that data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Chat data is kept to power memory until you ask for deletion, usage logs for up to two years. Named providers include Netlify for hosting and Airtable for data storage, and the policy admits data may be processed outside your country.

Deletion is by email with the subject line Privacy Rights Request, answered within 30 days. The terms say you can delete your account yourself from inside the app at any time; we did not spot the control during testing, so look in account settings or email support. Non-EU users should also know that section 10.3 of the terms pushes them into binding JAMS arbitration. Our advice is the usual one: use a dedicated email address, keep real names and workplaces out of roleplay, and remember that cancelling a subscription already wipes your content.

Card payments run through Verotel, a billing company that specialises in adult services. The privacy policy also names Curo Payments and Boomfi, the latter for crypto, and the homepage pricing section names Finby as processor. Verotel’s descriptor is neutral on statements. If you want more distance, Selira accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay, Bitcoin and bank transfer, the last with credits added within 24 hours. Selira says it never sees full card numbers. Verotel’s support site handles billing disputes; Selira does not.

How we tested Selira AI

One editor and one reviewer used Selira AI for four weeks in September and October 2026. We spent the first week on the free plan to measure what unlimited chat and the three-day history mean in practice, then paid for Basic at $12.99 for the second week and upgraded to Premium for the final two weeks to compare basic and long-term memory. We generated about a hundred images and a dozen videos, scrolled the feed, tried Live Cam and finished by cancelling to see what happened to our data.

Scores follow our seven weighted criteria, described on the review methodology page. Memory was checked by planting six personal facts on day 8, the first day of the Basic subscription, because the free plan deletes history after three days, and asking about them without hints on days 12, 19 and 26. Selira AI’s strongest card is free unlimited explicit chat. Against the bigger names it loses on voice, memory and polish. Selira’s figures are the Autumn Sale prices that sat under a countdown timer in October 2026, on cards that were still billed monthly; the rivals’ figures are the lowest monthly prices we saw advertised that month, and all of them move with promotions.

Pick Selira if you want to chat explicitly for free and buy images occasionally. JOI AI is the better choice for voice calls and an adaptive personality, Candy AI for the sharpest images and video, OurDream AI for fine control over scenes, and Lovescape for a free tier with memory and voice in one place. If memory on a budget is the priority, GoLove AI kept details for weeks in our test at a lower price than Selira’s Premium tier, and Nectar AI is worth a look for image-heavy users.

Tips to get the most out of Selira AI

We wasted credits in our first week on in-chat image requests that the dedicated panel does better, and lost a free-plan conversation to the three-day reset. These are the habits we settled on afterwards.

1. Write three or four facts about yourself into the companion’s relationship notes instead of relying on chat memory
2. On the free plan, copy anything you want to keep before the 3-day history reset
3. Generate images from the dedicated panel instead of inside chat; the pose and background options give better results per credit
4. Avoid video at peak evening hours in Europe, when the queue was slowest for us
5. Buy a credit pack instead of Lite if you only want pictures; pack credits never expire
6. Claim the daily reward credit when it is offered; the amount is small but it adds up
7. Export or screenshot your favourite images before cancelling, because cancellation deletes them

When a scene starts repeating, change the setting rather than the companion. Moving a conversation from an apartment to a hotel bar reset the phrasing for us more reliably than regenerating replies, and it keeps whatever memory the plan allows intact.

Is Selira AI legit and safe?

The company behind Selira AI checks out on paper. The site footer names Sria Digital B.V., a registered Dutch company, with a street address in Utrecht and a KvK number, and the terms set Dutch governing law and include an EU consumer clause. Our payments went through, the Verotel descriptor was neutral and cancellation worked from the profile page. The terms include a 14-day refund window, which is longer than most rivals, although it is aimed at technical problems and excludes used credit packs.

What makes us cautious is the lack of outside evidence. As of October 2026 there is no Trustpilot page for selira.ai, we found no Reddit discussion, and there is no app store listing to carry ratings. The homepage quotes a 9.5/10 rating from a companion directory and 150,000+ users, both self-reported.
