Below that you get a grid of fifteen men with a photo, age, type and one-line tagline, followed by a feature list, a comparison table and an FAQ. The tone is confident and a bit cheeky without being crude.

Getting started takes almost no effort. You tap a profile, read his short bio if you want, and start typing. There is no sign-up form, no email and no age wall beyond the 18+ notice. The first three messages you send are free. After the third reply a screen appears that says “That was your free preview” and offers “Continue with Premium”, which takes you to Lovescape. That is where you register, pick a plan and get unlimited chat, full NSFW and images. So AI Gay is the curated, gay-first front of the experience, and Lovescape is the engine behind the paid part.

When a tester opened with Noah by saying he felt lonely after moving to a new city, Noah did not flirt. He asked what the city was like and what the tester missed most. Tyler, in contrast, met a similar message with a gym-buddy pep talk and an invitation to a hike. Emojis are used lightly, and nobody narrates actions in asterisks, which keeps the chat readable.

Memory beyond the preview depends on Lovescape. Over three weeks there, our testers found that names, jobs, relationship status and running jokes stuck well within a character, and that longer storylines survived gaps of a few days. Specific details from very long sessions sometimes needed a reminder. Lovescape’s memory is not the deepest in the category, but it is reliable for a boyfriend-style chat where the same facts come up again and again.
